Optimal Fish Oil Softgels by Seeking Health contain concentrated Norwegian fish oil that provides 900 mg of EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids in triglyceride form. To assure maximum purity and freshness, the oil is stabilized with vitamin E (as d-alpha tocopherol). Because Optimal Fish Oil uses fish gelatin for the softgel rather than bovine sources, this product is suitable for pescatarians. EPA and DHA from fish oil have been extensively researched for their health benefits. They promote wellness by supporting cardiovascular health, normal platelet aggregation, cytokine balance, joint health, and brain and nervous system function.
Seeking Health takes the utmost care in the selection of raw materials for our products. The fish oil used in Optimal Fish Oil is produced under state-of-the-art GMP guidelines approved by international regulatory authorities, including the FDA. Proprietary manufacturing procedures, including triple distillation, are used to ensure that levels of contaminants such as heavy metals and organic pollutants are reduced to extremely low levels. Each lot is tightly controlled so that levels of these contaminants are less than half the limits set by current guidelines of the Global Organization for EPA and DHA (GOED), the European Pharmacopoeia, and the United States Pharmacopoeia.
DHA is a long chain omega-3 fatty acid that may play a role in cellular communication, helping to support healthy memory function and cognitive health. DHA is especially important for cells in the brain and retina, where it is abundant in healthy nerves and membranes. EPA, another long-chain omega-3 fatty acid, is important for normal inflammatory responses and cardiovascular health. These beneficial fatty acids work together to support brain health, healthy fetal development and many other vital body processes and functions. Supportive but not conclusive research shows that consumption of EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease (see nutrition information for total fat content).
Children and pregnant or lactating women should consult their healthcare practitioner prior to use. Consult with your healthcare practitioner before use if you are taking blood thinning medication or are planning to have surgery.
